 “YELLOW BUS” TRIPS for 55 and older    

To Sign Up: Call DEBBIE ENGEL @ 439-9038 (leave message & I will call back to confirm). We have 14 seats, first come, first served.  A minimum of 8 persons on the bus locally and a minimum of 10 for out-of-town trips.

*EVERY 1^st & 3^rd WEDNESDAY – Senior Citizens Mtg. @ Comm. Ctr. (1:00 business & 1:00  Pot Luck respectively).

 *EVERY THURSDAY - Afternoon Movie @ the Voorheesville Library, 1:00 pm

 *All prepaid events – Check made out to specified Venue with event name & date in “memo”

 *If signed up for trip and it is no longer listed – it is because the trip is FULL, you will be called w/ time & place of pick-up.

 PLEASE Note:  New rating system for trips after the date you may see a number (1) = easy, flatter ground and one of two steps, little walking (2) = moderate, 6 steps +/- walking required, on and off at several stops   (3) = hard a lot of steps, a lot of walking, uneven ground.  If you sign up please note you are responsible for your own equipment, you are welcome to bring an aide or friend with you to assist.  The Committee tries to look into each venue to see what is required for mobility and safety, access to buildings, parking, bathrooms, etc. Please be advised of the number to better assess your ability to attend. We are a curb to curb service.

REMINDER: Seasonal Farmer’s Markets will be opening soon. Some locations are serving meals, ie., V’Ville Methodist Church Parking Lot, Wednesday’s from 3:30-6:30 PM thru October 4th and First United Methodist Church, 428 Kenwood Avenue, Delmar has BBQ Chicken. 

FYI: This program runs on volunteer drivers and money donations from riders. No fee is charged, a suggested donation is $5.00 each way for out of town trips/a few dollars each way within town. If you don’t have the means, you will never be denied a ride. Amounts are only suggestions. Town of New Scotland has 2 cars to take seniors living in the Town of New Scotland only to appointments M-F 9:00-2:30 (medical) Please give as much notice as possible so we can schedule and find a volunteer to drive you. Dialysis and Chemo appointments take precedent over all other appointments. This is a curb to curb service. The program is run at the discretion of the Senior Outreach Coordinator and the program committee. If schools are closed because of inclement weather, ALL trips are cancelled.
